Recognizing and resolving errors
Recognizing and resolving errors is something that I feel I have excelled in this semester. With our POWs I have made a lot of mistakes but been able to learn from them and find a better solution. I also was able to find patterns quickly and know that something was wrong if an answer didn't match up to the pattern I was able to make logical prediction that it was wrong. I think that I really showed this skill in POW 5. We had to find the max amount of pieces for a certain numbers of cuts in a pie. I was almost immediately able to find a pattern and then check it by actually making the cuts. This was something that I feel I did well and have really mastered this semester.

Solving Proportions with cross multiplication
This year I feel that I have really understood how to cross multiplication and when to use it. This has been a skill that I have been working on for a really long time but this year it has seemed to really click in my brain. I am glad that I have learned this skill so well because it something that I will use in my daily life. Unlike a lot of math that seems pointless, this skill can be useful in many cases. For instance you can use it when you cook or when you go to a new country and want to find what your money is worth there. I feel that I have mastered this skill and I confident in using it in future math classes.

Cookie Unit
Cover Letter
In this unit we learned about constraints, how to graph them and find the most profit for a business. Along the way though we learned many useful skills to help further our learnings in math. I personally had learned a lot of the subjects we went over but it was nice to have then taught to me again in a more clear way. For example I had learned systems of equations before but the way I was taught it was very confusing and took forever to solve. Then Lauran taught us ways to solve them that made big scary problems not seems so scary. Another thing that I learn was about how to graph inequalities. I had learned about inequities before but never had been taught how to graph them. Graph inequalities made the cookie unit easier because you could find two points and make a line instead of going through and filling in pieces of the puzzle until they came together. All in all I enjoyed this unit and thought that it taught a lot of useful tools for real world experiences.
