El Dia De Los Muertos
I have learned a lot about Mexican culture through this project. In previous spanish classes I have taken we learned about The Day of The Dead but we never did project to go along with it. Doing this project taught me about how Mexicans interact with the dead and view the dead. I think it is really interesting how they think of death as a funny and a laughable thing because it's going to happen to all of us. One thing that I thought was fascinating was the fact that Mexicans have there children play with calaveras and calacas so that they aren't scared of death. That is something that I feel is important for children to learn since death will happen to everyone at some point in there life. I really liked how in the Mexican culture it is important for people to be remembered so that their soul is not lost. This really tells you how important family is in the Mexican culture and how close families are. This whole holliday is really amazing and has great meaning behind it.
